CAMPAIGN APPROACH
OUR WHY
FPO
The loss of a loved one to gun violence creates waves that touch every corner of our society. Even for those of us who haven't directly experienced this loss, these atrocities reshape our shared experience—changing how we see schools, public spaces, and each other.
Just as a butterfly begins in darkness before taking flight, our Resilience campaign uses art to transform tragedy into the unified action needed to end gun violence in America. Resilience shows that art has the power to spark critical thinking and human empathy, fostering the healthy dialogue necessary for practical solutions.

Art, Education & Community
Our mission is creatively integrated into a comprehensive three-fold approach. The Butterfly Art Collective partners with Sandy Hook Promise to bring curated art and prevention programming to under-resourced schools and communities nationwide.
When 150 students showcase their art — bringing together educators, parents, caregivers, extended family, friends and neighbors— approximately 500 people are in a room earning the attention of stakeholders, civic leaders, and media.
This grassroots approach also serves as a foundation for our broader advocacy partnership with GIFFORDS, creating a powerful platform to address the critical need for systemic change.

“I’m fighting hard to make the world a better place, and you can, too. Get involved with your community, be a leader, set an example, be passionate, be your best.”
